Cultural Resources Planning

CSRM has extensive experience producing Integrated Cultural Resource Management Programs (ICRMPs) and Historic Properties Components (HPCs). An ICRMP, which is required every five years for military installations, provides a framework for the treatment of cultural resources in the installation's operation. HPCs establish a proactive planning and management based approach to historic preservation and compliance to stand in place of the formal case-by-case review.

One important aspect of an ICRMP is the opportunity to plan before cultural resources must be addressed due to an immediate project. National Historic Preservation Act Section 110 surveys provide the necessary information and inventory of facilities on a regular schedule, as opposed to a reactionary process as issues arise.
